The release date of "Star Wars 7" is set in December 2016, and the film creators are making sure that the script and plot details stay tight. However, there are numerous potential spoilers that have surfaced already and have created immense buzz online. The latest aspect to come to surface is that Adam Driver may play the main villain in the J.J Abrams' offering.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead

Driver rose to fame with his role in HBO's series "Girls," and since then he has done vital roles in films such as "Inside Llewyn Davis," "This Is Where I Leave You," and "Lincoln." In a recent interview, Driver's co-star Joel Edgerton from the movie "Midnight Express" hinted about Driver's role in the "Star Wars 7" franchise.

"Adam Driver and I worked together on this Jeff Nichols movie last year. Literally, he got cast, and then I heard he was going to playing new whatever version of the villain in the new 'Star Wars' movie," Edgerton said to MTV, giving a major clue about Driver's role in the "Star Was'" franchise. He also said that he was scared of reading a scene with Driver as he thought he might choke him up. Furthermore, it was suggested that the "Star Wars 7" villain could be anyone, from a descendent of Dooku to an Evil X-Wing pilot, according to Cinema Blend.

According to additional rumours, it is also being said that Driver's character may have special powers and could have originated in the previous "Star Wars" movies, which means he could be related to Dookus. The Web site has also reported that Driver's character may steal an X-Wing and attack Hans Solo's Millennium Falcon.

There is still no confirmation regarding the character details of Driver and he may or may not play the villain. The other actors who are part of the cast of "Star Wars 7" are Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyongo', Daisy Ridley and Carrie Fisher.
