Few details have been revealed so far regarding John Boyega's role in "Star Wars: Episode VII." However, previous reports claim he will be a Stormtrooper and an X-Wing pilot. Likewise, a recent article mentioned he is also a member of the Special Forces who flies a TIE Fighter ship.

As previously mentioned by the International Business Times Australia, John Boyega's scene in "Star Wars: Episode VII" involves his ship crashing over at Tatooine. The X-Wing pilot is believed to be hunted down by his commander, who's said to be played by Gwendolyn Christie. Boyega has reportedly gone AWOL and in her anger, Christi locates and guns down his ship. That's when Daisy Ridley's rumoured character, Kira, finds an injured Stormtrooper on the desert and restores him back to health.

Few details have so far been mentioned regarding his crashed ship. However, courtesy of Fausto De Martini, Making Star Wars' Jason Ward claims he has seen a concept painting of Boyega's spacecraft prior to the crash. He believes that not only does the actor's character flies an X-Wing but he's also a Special Forces TIE Fighter pilot.

The TIE Fighter per Starwars.com is the iconic ship of the Imperial soldiers. It's used to battle rebel fighters aboard the X-Wing. From the concept painting, few changes can be seen from the ship, although it reportedly still resembles the classic TIE Fighter (see video below) if viewed from the front, with its classic TIE wings. However, the new ship that will supposedly be featured in "Star Wars: Episode VII" is not dull black in colour. Instead, it's believed to be shiny black, "closer to Darth Vader's shine." Additionally, red markings adorn the left and right sides of the TIEs near the glass cockpit, including the back area.

Meanwhile, the right side of the TIE Fighter ship has an antenna. According to Jason Ward, in the "near crashed concept, it appears to be a few things sticking up straight." However, if viewed from the front, the antenna reportedly looks more like a panel located at the top and bottom part of the ship's body. Meanwhile, something that resembles giant metal tires can be seen protruding against the wing. As for the back portion of the TIE Fighter, two thrusters can be seen coming out from a hole in between a hexagon-shaped booster that's been cut in half. "In between them is a black band that makes me think of the Sith Infiltrator, Darth Maul's ship from Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace," Jason Ward said.

John Boyega's crash scene in "Star Wars: Episode VII" reportedly involves the TIE Fighter ship ablaze in fire, with its right wing landing on the sand first during the crash. The wreckage, as depicted on the painting, shows shredded wings with its wirings bent while the cockpit is tilting forward toward the dirt and debris is scattered everywhere.

However, as with other "Star Wars: Episode VII" rumours, this concept photo may just be another speculation. J.J. Abrams and the crew have so far remained tight-lipped on matters involving the movie's production.
