Harrison Ford is all set to reprise his role as Han Solo in Star Wars Episode VII. However, fans wonder whether the actor is excited to do the role or not?

Ford apparently, suggested in his earlier interview that Solo has much less to do, reported Entertainment Weekly

His character has been previously compared to Indiana Jones. However, Ford believes that is Han is not on the same level as the iconic Indiana Jones.

"He's got a good heart, but I think he's certainly a much less interesting character than Indiana Jones," Ford had said in his earlier interview. "The breadth of his story utility was never extensive. He was the foil between the other more compelling elements of the film, between the sage old warrior and the young hero. There's not much breadth of character to explore what we got out of him."

Regarding the reports that Solo was about to be killed in "Return of Jedi," Ford had explained this in an interview.

"I talked about it. I thought it would be fascinating to have him die and give the movie some emotional bottom. It wasn't a heroic arc so much that I was interested in but giving the film some emotional strength," stated Ford.

Meanwhile, the film will see Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher returning to their role of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia respectively. Kenny Baker, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew will also be reprising their roles

The actors who will be new to "Star Wars" family include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Max Von Sydow, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac.

"Star Wars VII" is all set to hit the theaters in December 2013. The movie is being directed by J.J. Abrams and the screenplay is penned down by J.J. Abrams, George Lucas, Lawrence Kasdan.
