'Star Wars: Episode 8' director on Jar Jar Binks Sith Lord theory; John Boyega catching Pokemon on set
John Boyega has jumped into the Pokemon craze by catching the little digital creatures on the set of “Star Wars: Episode 8,” the actor revealed in a recent interview. Meanwhile, director Rian Johnson has caught up with the theory that Jar Jar Binks is actually a Sith Lord.
Commenting on the theory, Johnson posted a picture of Jar Jar Binks in a black hood, robes that have traditionally been associated with the Sith. The director simply pointed out that many people are talking about this theory, but did not share his views on the subject.

Jar Jar Binks is perhaps the most hated characters from the prequel movies. Later a theory about the character being a secret Sith Lord took the internet by storm. The fact that the character was instrumental in the fight against the Trade Federation and in granting the Chancellor extraordinary powers; gives some credence to the theory.
Although the character may still be alive, it is unlikely to be featured in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” The movie has wrapped filming and is now in the post production phase.
While on the set at Pinewood Studios, John Boyega (Finn) managed to catch a popular Pokemon called Pikachu. The actor told TechCrunch that he became “the most popular kid on the set” for a day when he told “everybody” about the catch. He felt that technology has brought everybody together. The actor is currently at level 5 in the game and his CP levels are “looking good.”
“Star Wars: Episode 8” is slated to be released on Dec. 15, 2017 in Australia. The cast members of the movie include Daisy Ridley (Rey), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Leia), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke) and Benicio Del Toro in an unspecified role.
