'Star Wars: Episode 8' Director shares update; New Kylo Ren theory
Director RIan Johnson shared an update about the progress of “Star Wars: Episode 8,” which is currently in the post production phase of development. Meanwhile, a new theory about Kylo Ren has surfaced online.
Johnson is currently in the editing room, watching the scenes he has filmed. The director joked that his new hobby is to have the editor play the scenes of the film without sound and he plays Steve Miller Band music on his phone. He later added that editing is “going well.”
Filming of the movie wrapped in July this year. Johnson began this long journey by filming the scene of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) meeting Rey (Daisy Ridley) on Ahch-To. The director is now putting together a first cut of the film and may also have a teaser ready for the fans soon.
Meanwhile, a new theory about Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in “Star Wars: Episode 8” has been posted on the YouTube channel of Mike Zeroh. The video starts with tracing the back story of the character, with emphasis on his relationship with his parents. The report suggests that the character may have hated his father for neglecting him as a kid or may view him as a weak individual.
The new theory looks at what could be Kylo Ren’s weakness. According to Mike, it is Leia (Carrie Fisher). He suggests that there will be a key moment between the mother and son, in which she will confront him and turn him back to the Light side of the Force.
There has been a raging conflict inside Kylo Ren, which may have intensified after the murder of Han Solo (Harrison Ford). Will Driver’s character turn away from the teachings of Snoke (Andy Serkis) in “Star Wars: Episode 8,” and join the Resistance in the fight against the First Order?
