‘Star Wars: Episode 9’ theory: How Darth Vader can return
“Star Wars: Episode 9” is the last installment in the new trilogy that is expected to wrap up the current storylines. There could be some exciting things to look forward to in the movie, and according to a new theory there is a good chance that Darth Vader will return in some form.
After all these years Darth Vader continues to remain the most significant character in the “Star Wars” universe. The former Sith Lord made his presence felt in “The Force Awakens” in the form of a mangled helmet that served as an inspiration to his grandson Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
The question of whether the Sith can return in the form of Force Ghosts has been debated for a long time by the fans. According to a report by ScreenRant, Disney and Lucasfilm have now answered that question in the Darth Vader comic series that is currently ongoing.
The comic series tells the stories about Darth Vader’s early years with the Emperor. One particular story from these comics is about the Sith Lord Momin. This dark lord’s path was so heretical that both the Jedi and the Sith decided to erase his history, but he continued to exert his influence even after death.
Lord Momin was a sculptor. After his death and the destruction of his body his helmet remained. The helmet contained his essence and the Sith Lord made his will known to people who would stare at the red glaring eyes of the helmet.
The Emperor revealed in the comics that he communicated with Lord Momin, and this is how he came to know about his story even though there is no holocron record. The Emperor asked Darth Vader to take the helmet with him to the planet Mustafar, to help the dead Sith Lord help in the construction of Vader’s castle there.
Will Darth Vader’s helmet help the character return just as Lord Momin came back in the comics? The fans will have to wait and watch the film to find out.
