'Star Wars' Episode VII News Roundup: Rumors, Casting and Things that Would Make it Awesome
One of the greatest American sci-fi series to ever grace the movie industry, "Star Wars," is set to release an episode VII in 2015. While 2015 seems too long for avid fans of the sci-fi franchise, the producers of the film, The Walt Disney Company, has promised the public to release three more new epic films under the same banner.
Rumors that have been circulating about the Episode VII of "Star Wars" include the alleged casting of the two twins, Jacen and Jaina. If the reports are to be true, Episode VII shall focus on the story line that develops between the "Young Jedi Knights." Jacen and Jaina are Han Solo and Princess Leia's kids.
Fans cannot help but think that should Episode VII deal with the "Young Jedi Knights," then the upcoming other two movies will focus on "Star Wars" years after the originals. The incorporation of the "Star Wars" Expanded Universe seems to be a large likelihood should the rumors be true about Episode VII.
Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Mark Hammil (Luke Skywalker), and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) are said to have agreed to take part in the upcoming Episode VII of "Star Wars". Disney also took two more screenwriters namely, Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3 and Hunger Games) and Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi).
The story twist in Episode VII shall include Jacen joining the Dark Side where he becomes known as Darth Caedus. In a battle to balance out evil, Caedus shall be hunted down and killed by his sister.
Here are some of the characters from the Expanded Universe of "Star Wars: Episode VII" that would make the film extra awesome:
Darth Caedus
Just like his grandfather, Darth Caedus, born as Jacen Solo, falls prey to the Dark Side. He falls from Jedi to being a Sith.
Mara Jade
Mara Jade is a former agent of the Emperor Palpatine. She married Luke Skywalker and can potentially serve as a good character to bolsters Skywalker's role in the upcoming Episode VII.
It will be something to watch out for should Disney include the Expanded Universe characters.
