‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Three Weeks To Finish Production Plus Warwick Davis May Return [Spoilers]
The production of "Star Wars: Episode VII" may be nearing completion. Actor Warwick Davis may be returning to the film. Meanwhile the leaks from the movie continue, the latest of which are about the new X-Wing fighters in the movie. [Spoiler Alert]
At least six "Star Wars" movies will be released in the next 10 years and episode 7 will be completed in three weeks time. According to a report by Variety, the announcements were made by the president of Industrial Light & Magic - Lynwen Brenan. She was speaking at an event that launched a new studio of the company in London.
Industrial Light & Magic was founded by George Lucas in 1975 and was a division of Lucasfilm LTD. The primary aim of its creation was to oversee the special effects in "Star Wars" movies. The company has come a long way since then and his been involved with big hit movies like "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "Jurassic Park."
A new cast member may be joining "Star Wars: Episode VII." The official YouTube channel of the franchise has released a video featuring the actor Warwick Davis. The actor is seen getting excited about landing a role in the upcoming movie.
Warwick Davis played the role of an Ewok called Wicket in "Star Wars: Episode VI - The Return of the Jedi." He also had a small role as Wald in the movie "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace." It is still unclear what his role will be in the upcoming movie.
Meanwhile a new concept art description from "Star Wars: Episode VII" has leaked online about X-Wing fighters. Two separate designs of the X-Wing fighters are reportedly from designers Ryan Church and CPine. The first description, by MakingStarWars, talks about an X-Wing fighter that can hold two pilots. The report speculates that this has been done to allow the character "Kira" and John Boyega's character to leave a planet together.
The second X-Wing design reportedly has two big boosters on top and two small boosters on the bottom of a classic X-Wing fighter body. The ship reportedly looks like an "eagle attacking." The top wings fold to form a V shape and the lower wings fold to give it an "X" shape, according to the report.
Readers should note however that not all concept arts make it to the movie. "Star Wars: Episode VII" is slated to be released on Dec 18, 2015 in Australia, Canada, UK, New Zealand and the U.S. The movie is being eagerly awaited by the fans of the franchise.
