‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens': Andy Serkis Character A 50-Year Old 'Zombie,' Sith Member Of The New Empire
New details have been revealed regarding Andy Serkis' role and character in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." However, without any confirmation from Disney or LucasFilm, it's still wise to consider these details as rumours until proven otherwise.
Reports claim Andy Serkis also has other roles in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" aside from being the voice-over in the teaser trailer. Sources for Star Wars Underworld claim the actor has been cast to portray the character of an old man; a character who is said to be too old that he looks like a "zombie almost risen from the dead." Making Star Wars adds Serkis could be playing a 50-year-old or older man based on his voice in the teaser. Likewise, the mention of the undead supposedly hints of his role having "unnatural" powers.
The International Business Times also previously described the actor's character as someone who has existed for a very long time. He will allegedly play as "some kind of alien Sith exempt from the Rule of Two." Andy Serkis will supposedly be a very powerful Sith who has trained or used Palpatine for some obscure purpose.
Furthermore, Serkis is allegedly referred to as "Uber" in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." It's believed to be a code name used to describe his character, much like Daisy Ridley's Kira and Lupita Nyong o's Rose. According to Star Wars Underworld, the name also hints of the actor being the potential "Master" in the movie, "pulling the strings from behind the scenes."
It's believed Andy Serkis as the "Uber" will have communication with Adam Driver's character. The latter will reportedly play as a Sith. Likewise, Serkis' character will also be a member of the new "Empire," which Driver's Sith and Domhal Gleeson's still unknown character are a part of.
According to IBTimes, Andy Serkis' character will also intertwine with the backstory of Daisy Ridley's Kira. The site claims he will have a pivotal role in Kira's first act story in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." However, it's still uncertain if this character is the said "Uber" or his role as a Sith.
