‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’: Capital Starships In New Rebel Base, 'Exotic City' Seen In Teaser
The recently released teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" gave fans a look at the new actors in the movie: John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Daisy Ridley. However, analysing the details from each scene in the preview supposedly also gave a glimpse of what a report suspects as the new base for the rebel fighters.
According to Jason Ward over at Makingstarwars, the teaser also featured the "Exotic City," which would supposedly be used as the new rebel base in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." This city is depicted in the trailer with the view of the sprawling mountains and the waters where the X-wings fly over.
Likewise, new concept photos for the new rebel base in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" reveal a pier across the waters used as a dock for the Millennium Falcon. The shape of the pier is reportedly similar to the landing pad on Bespin. From the photos three figures are seen standing outside the Falcon dressed in Han Solo's snow outfit, as seen in the photo Indie Revolver posted before. Additionally, Ward claims the Millennium Falcon is not the largest ship at the new rebel base. The photos reportedly also revealed two Capital Starships docked behind the Falcon.
"The ship immediately behind it is like a long rectangle with red paint on it and two guns in the front. They look like they could be rebel ship or just industrial vehicles," Jason Ward said.
Ward adds that the second ship docked behind the Falcon at the "Exotic City" is even bigger. The concept photo shows it has a long body, much like the length of an elephant's tusk. The front of the ship reportedly also has a claw for grabbing things.
Beyond the water seen in the teaser for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" lies a Geonosian-structured building with a "rounded base and pointy tip." It is made of stone similar to how the International Business Times previously described the buildings in the "Exotic City." As per IBTimes, the new rebel base has pyramids and huge stone structures as skyscrapers.
One photo of the new rebel base Ward saw also shows Han Solo walking with the droid seen in the teaser. A woman with Leia's iconic bun hairstyle walks behind him, and Ward can't be certain if the person is Leia or Kira. Additionally, the "Exotic City" in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is believed to be the home of different exotic-looking aliens.
