'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' cast are fans of Han Solo; See leaked pictures of Rey and Chewbacca
Pictures of Rey and Chewbacca showing scenes from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” have been leaked online. Meanwhile, director J.J. Abrams and some of the cast members of the movie shared their experience while filming with Harrison Ford.
Speaking to EOnline , Abrams said that one of the most challenging aspects of filming the movie was to make sure that the “fanboy” in him didn’t hinder his role as the director. He said that giving notes to Ford about his character Han Solo may be a “weird thing in concept” but Abrams had to look at the situation as him directing the movie and Ford as another actor.
The director explained that Ford was also there because he wanted notes on the scenes and wanted adjustments to be made. Abrams’ job was to help the actor in this regard. He said that it was great to work with Ford on the movie and that the actor exceeded his expectations.
John Boyega (Finn) also described himself as a fan and said that he managed to get all his action figures signed. The actor said that Ford may have felt that Finn was the lead in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” however, the actor pointed out that not many actors will get to work with Ford playing Han in a movie.
Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) praised Abrams for creating the set and ensuring that the environment was “playful” and enthusiastic” for the actors. Isaac joked that Ford was made of “leather and nails” and yet; even he was able to “open up his heart” on the movie set.
Daisy Ridley (Rey) said that the cast and crew were focused on making the best movie possible and that it was only in hindsight that some of them realised what it was like to be a part of this iconic movie franchise. Ridley plays a major role in the movie and newly leaked pictures of the movie show the actress sitting next to Chewbacca. [Spoiler alert!]
A picture posted on Twitter by Owen Ward shows Rey and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) in what appears to be the Millennium Falcon. The second picture shows Chewie with his crossbow and his spaceship in the background. The image is said to be the cover of a notebook that may be a part of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” promotion merchandise.
