‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’: 'Darth Revan' As Main Villain, Description Leaked
A new report claims to know another detail pertaining to the teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The teaser, which is rumoured for a Dec. 17, 2014 release, will supposedly also reveal the main villain in the movie.
According to Latino Review, the short sneak peek for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will debut the appearance of the movie's chief antagonist. Sources have allegedly confirmed the teaser trailer will feature a montage of characters, old and new, and among them is the main villain.
Previously rumoured as the "cyborg" or "inquisitor," Latino Review insists this villain will be wearing a mask in the teaser trailer. The design of his mask reportedly looks like a cross "between the red-coloured Imperial Guards from Return of the Jedi and Darth Revan from Knights of the Old Republic." To prove its claim, the site posted two images; one photo of the 1983 Imperial Guard dressed fully in red while the other photo is that of the black-robed Darth Revan. However, as per Movieweb it's unlikely that it's Darth Reven in "Knights of the Old Republic." The latter is supposedly considered a non-canon franchise since it's a role-playing video game.
Besides the mask, no other details were revealed regarding the presence of the main villain in the teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." His/her identity still remains a mystery.
Details regarding the movie's sneak preview were also leaked a couple of days ago. However, instead of the additional presence of the main villain, according to Makingstarwars, the teaser trailer will really only show Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
A source supposedly told Jason Ward that the trailer reveals shots of the dune where Boyega steps out in his white Stormtrooper armour sans his helmet. Then there's a shot of Ridley wearing a helmet with pop-down glasses, akin to Leia's Endor helmet. She is seen riding a speeder as she approaches a station.
Additionally, the teaser for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will reportedly also show another villain, whom Ward calls as "the new 'Sith.'" Unlike the main villain whose identity is still unknown, this Sith allegedly possesses a powerful cross-beam lightsaber. Its beam is said to be wilder and more supercharged unlike the normal lightsaber.
