New cast members have been added to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." One has reportedly been cast as a "Padawan," who will reportedly appear in a flashback scene in the movie.

Starwarsunderworld spotted tweets from the BBC's Lizo Mzimba regarding new stars involved in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Mzimba supposedly "uncovered two new actors who've added The Force Awakens to their resume, writer Dominic Jones said. Tony Bailey is said to be another Stormtrooper while Sam Carr listed his part as a "Padawan." Yahoo Movies further confirms that Carr's CV shows him listed as a "Padawan" and that he's previously worked with Han Solo actor Harrison Ford in "Ender's Game."

The International Business Times once claimed that the J.J. Abrams' film is devoid of any new Jedis. Luke Skywalker is said to be the last of his kind since Jedis are believed to already be non-existent. Likewise, according to Yahoo, the end of "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" clearly established that Luke is the remaining Jedi following the death of Obi-Wan and Yoda in the previous trilogies. However, casting Sam Carr as a "Padawan" supposedly hints that the Jedi Master may after all not be the last of his kind in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Carr's role reportedly suggests of a new Jedi Order in the new movie.

However, few details have been revealed regarding the actor's involvement in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Nor was he even glimpsed at the recently released teaser trailer. Although according to Yahoo, as a "Padawan," Carr could appear in a flashback in the movie. It's believed the 2015 film will include flashback scenes and will be the first of the saga to do so. It's likely that Sam and Tony Bailey as new characters could be featured in one of these flashbacks, which, according to Comicbookmovie, could show the prequel era.

Additionally, Yahoo supposed Sam Carr may not be the only "Padawan," since no specific name was attached to his role. Likewise, Comicbookmovie claims he may only have a small part in the movie. However, the existence of a "Padawan" in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" reportedly follows the Expanded Universe, which could debunk all the rumours regarding Luke Skywalker's involvement in the film.
