‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens' new trailer release likely in two weeks
Another trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will reportedly be released soon. A cinema source claimed that the new preview will come out in two weeks’ time.
Dave Olden, a Starwars7news’ reader said he was informed by a friend who owns a chain of Multiplex in Victoria, British Columbia, that the new trailer will be released on Oct. 19. This date reportedly coincides with the online purchase availability of the IMAX tickets for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
“He first confirmed the IMAX ticket availability, which he added would apply to all shows, not just IMAX. That’s when he told me, verbally, that The 19th of October is when we get the new trailer. He also told me this means for North America (Canada + US), not just here,” Olden said in a statement shared by Starwars7news.
According to Starwars7news, the new trailer release date also matches previous rumours about the tickets for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” going on sale in the United States. Fandango has reportedly confirmed the ticket sale in October but the exact date has not be revealed.
Whether fans will see the new trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on Oct. 19 is still uncertain. Disney and Lucasfilm have not confirmed it. Likewise, the site claimed it’s unusual for the studio to release the trailer on a Monday since it’s supposedly always done on a Friday. But previous rumours have mentioned no new trailers will be released on a Friday in October.
There have been conflicting reports on the exact release date of the new trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” It was initially rumoured for Oct. 2, attached to the cinema release of “The Martian.” Another is on Oct. 30, to commemorate the date when Disney bought Lucasfilm. However, Starwars7news claimed it’s likely the preview will be released after the premiere of “Star Wars: Rebels” season 2 on Oct. 14.
It’s believed the new trailer will be the last full preview to be released before “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens in the U.S on Dec. 18.
