"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" may be the movie that marks the beginning of a new Sith Lord. Fans of the franchise who have seen the prequel movies will reportedly see the similarities in the storyline in the upcoming movie. [Warning: Spoilers Alert]
The role of Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" may be similar to the one played by Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel movies. According to a report by MakingStarWars, Luke will badly injure the villain towards the end of the movie and allow him to rise as the new "Darth" in the subsequent movies from the franchise.
The report cites several sources associated with the movie project. It is still unclear if the villain the report speaks about is in fact Kylo Ren. The first trailer of the upcoming movie showed a hooded Kylo Ren carrying a red lightsaber. The face of the character was not revealed in the trailer.
A newly leaked picture reportedly shows the final helmet design of Kylo Ren. The image posted on IndieRevolver shows a black helmet with yellow markings around the eyes. The report compares the look of the new villain with that of the popular character Darth Vader. Kylo Ren reportedly wears the helmet under a cloak that is similar to Emperor Palpatine's but is said to be "ragged and tattered." According to the report the lightsaber of Kylo Ren is a "Sith relic."
The report also points to a previous leak that shows some of the characters from the upcoming movie in a prototype 6-inch action figures. One of the figures is reportedly that of Kylo Ren. The other notable characters in the action figure collection is that of Finn and Chewbacca.
The plot of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has still not been made available by the producers. But according to the reports, the story may focus on Kylo Ren looking for Sith relics. His confrontation with Luke Skywalker is set to be towards the end of the movie.
The prequel movies showed that Anakin Skywalker became the robotic Darth Vader after Obi-Wan Kenobi badly injured him in a battle. Will "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" follow a similar line with Kylo Ren turning into the new Sith Lord in the galaxy after he is severely injured by Luke? Please leave your comments below.
