“Star Wars” The Force Awakens” director J.J. Abrams may have mentioned that there will be no more trailers released for the film until it comes out on Dec. 18. However, Shonda Rhimes recently announced that another preview is coming this week through ABC.

Rhimes made the announcement on her Twitter on Tuesday. The television producer and writer, who is behind “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” is also a fan of “Star Wars.” So, Rhimes decided to feature the latest film saga on her show on Thursday.

“As a big @StarWars fan, I'm excited for Thurs, as #TGITAwakens with a special look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens!” Rhimes announced on Twitter.

A special exclusive look will reportedly be revealed by some of the cast members of “Scandal,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How To Get Away With Murder.” However, there is no mention what exactly this feature will be. Likewise, Rhimes did not actually specify when in the three-hour special this “special look” will come out. What’s for certain though is that fans will surely be tuning in to the show to watch out for more footage and possibly some clues in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

According to Slashfilm, it’s not surprising for Disney and Lucasfilm to feature the film on ABC since the latter is owned by Disney. It’s said to be a smart move for the movie’s producers to have it shown through Rhimes’ "Thank God It's Thursday" show since it would encourage the female population to watch “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

This is not the first time that a “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” feature was aired on a Disney-owned TV broadcast. Last month, an exclusive new look at the film was also released during ESPN’s Monday Night Football. A special look was also revealed during the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles football match.

ESPN is also owned by Disney, so it’s understandable for the Lucasfilm and Disney produced “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” to be featured on the show. It was reportedly also another way to encourage non-avid “Star Wars” fans but football enthusiasts to watch the J.J. Abrams’ film.
