'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Trailer: George Lucas Finds J.J.Abrams' Film's Trailer Intriguing
George Lucas, the maker of previous "Star Wars" films, recently shared his thoughts about the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Lucas said at the screening event of animated film "Strange Magic" that he has seen the J.J Abrams' film's trailer.
Lucas reportedly liked the first look of the "Star Wars" reboot, and he said it was, "it was intriguing," according to Page Six. The director reportedly did not watch the trailer of the film when it was released because he doesn't watch films online and he wanted to watch the trailer in the theatre. The director also revealed he has no idea about the story of the new "Star Wars" film, and this time, he is going to watch the film as a fan. When he himself directed the instalments, he reportedly never got to see the film. "I regret about Star Wars is that I never got to see it, you know? ... I never got to be blown away by the big ship coming over the thing, or anything," he told Screen Rant.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is the seventh instalment in the "Star Wars" series. The story of the film is set about 30 years after the events of "Return of the Jedi." The film stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow, with Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker. The principal photography of the film has taken place in Abu Dhabi, Ireland and Pinewood Studios.
Meanwhile, Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker in the film, recently revealed in an exclusive chat that a lot has changed in terms of the filmmaking aspect, now that the popular film is in the hands of the generation who were once the fans of the series. The actor also revealed there is tight security at the sets of Abrams' film, reports Screen Rant. He was reportedly once asked to wear a robe and cap so no drones could spot him on the sets. Abrams is making sure the film's storyline stays under wraps till the film is released.
