'Star Wars: The Last Jedi': Behind the scene pictures of action scenes and more
Director Rian Johnson has shared a new set of behind the scenes pictures from the production set of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” The pictures show some of the main cast members, and also tease some of the action scenes that were filmed in the studio.
The first picture is that of Daisy Ridley (Rey), who can be seen practicing with her lightsaber prop. The action sequence that she is filming here involves a fight or training in rain. One of the crew members in a raincoat helped the actress by holding an umbrella for her.
The second picture is that of Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) in his costume, but without the head piece. The fans can’t see his golden costume as this is a black and white picture in a dimly lit room. The set appears to be that of a cockpit of a ship or a command centre.
The next picture is of Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) sitting in what appears to be an X-Wing fighter of the Resistance. The soccer droid BB-8 will also be back in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” and the droid can be seen at the back in this picture. The actor was taking a break from filming when the photograph was taken.
The director also teased the filming of an action sequence. The picture shows an explosion that injures many Stormtroopers. The set appears to be that of a First Order ship.
While the late Carrie Fisher (Leia) will not be seen in the final film in the new trilogy, she has completed all her filming obligations for the upcoming sequel. Johnson also payed homage to the veteran actress by sharing a photo of her that is pinned on the wall of an office.
The first trailer of the film was released recently, but the video raised more questions in the minds of the fans. The most central question at the moment has to do with the title and what it means for the future of the franchise. A dialogue of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) added to the mystery about what really happened all those years ago that made the Jedi Master leave everything and hide on Ahch-To.
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is set to be released on 14 Dec in Australia. The film is expected to shed more light about what turned Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) to the Dark Side, and who this mysterious Snoke (Andy Serkis) is.
