'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' spoilers: Kylo Ren's TIE fighter officially confirmed
Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) TIE fighter has been officially confirmed for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Just like Darth Vader in “Empire Strikes Back,” the Sith Lord’s grandson will be seen in a space battle in his own unique ship. The following article contains spoilers.
The new TIE fighter is called “The Silencer.” According to the official Star Wars website, the ship is reminiscent of the TIE Interceptor and the TIE Advanced, a unique ship that Darth Vader used in “Empire Strikes Back.”
The Silencer has an angular design, and it’s a unique ship in the First Order. The ship is equipped with laser canons and missile launchers. The ship is said to be an essential tool the Master of Ren will use in his mission to destroy the Resistance.
Fans are yet to see Kylo Ren’s performance in a space dogfight. The Report teases that he is an “expert pilot,” with skills that have been passed down from Darth Vader, who was known to be a formidable pilot.
Meanwhile, a new report sharing more details about the look of the Knights of Ren has surfaced online. The new sketch posted on Star Wars News Net is based on a never-before-seen concept art of “The Force Awakens.” Kylo’s men were featured in the first film in a flash back sequence through the Force vision of Rey (Daisy Ridley); they are expected to play a major role in the sequel.
There are a total of seven members in the Knights of Ren in the picture, and one of them is a woman. All the characters appear to be humanoid, except for one who has his face covered. At least two of the knights appear to be cyborgs.
The recently released behind-the-scenes footage of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” teased an action sequence involving the Knights of Ren fighting Rey. More details about this mysterious group are expected to be revealed in the film.
