'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' theory: Kylo Ren and another Darth Vader relic
Darth Vader will continue to be a major influence on Kylo Ren in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” After seeing the mangled remains of the helmet, fans may get to see another relic of the past related to the Sith Lord. The following article contains spoilers.
Lucasfilm has slowly started to build on the lore of Darth Vader, introducing new elements of the character. One major reveal in the spin-off film “Rogue One” was the Sith Lord’s castle on the volcanic planet Mustafar. The introduction of the massive structure paves way for more connections to the past in the upcoming Rian Johnson film.
According to a new report by Mike Zeroh, fans will be taken back to the planet Mustafar in the one of the upcoming films in the new trilogy, most probably the sequel. Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) obsession with his grandfather may take him to the castle once used by the Sith Lord as his home and sanctuary.
According to Mike, Kylo Ren could discover the bacta tank Darth Vader once used in order to heal and recuperate. Given the Sith Lord’s massive body reconstruction, he may have used this device multiple times over the years.
The introduction of the bacta tank gives the director a good opportunity for another flashback, which could show how Kylo Ren's grandfather suffering at the hands of his own master in the battle at Mustafar. The scene could further fuel Ben’s hatred of the Jedi.
Will Kylo Ren see the bacta tank in the castle in Mustafar? Or is there another relic of Darth Vader waiting to be discovered at the Sith Lord’s home?
Kylo Ren’s connection to Darth Vader has been a strong driving force for the character. Any twist or change in the arc for this character may have something to do with the Sith Lord.
