Darth Vader, the most dreaded villain in the galaxy, is set to make a cameo appearance in "Star Wars: Rebels." The cameo will be a part of the first episode due to be aired on ABC on Oct. 26, 2014. The episode has already premiered on the Disney Channel and Disney XD.

The producers of "Star Wars: Rebels" wanted to do "something special" for the viewers on ABC who will be watching the first episode of the series, since the episode has already been viewed by many. Additional scenes to what has already been seen on TV will be added to the episode.

The additional scenes will give the viewers an insight about the main villain, the Inquisitor, and will also feature the popular villain, Darth Vader. The animated series is set in the time period between episode III and IV of the "Star Wars" movies. This was the period when the Empire tightened its grip on the galaxy and marked the rise of Darth Vader as an evil Sith lord.

The first episode of "Star Wars: Rebels" was reportedly viewed by 6.5 million viewers across the U.S and 16 markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Canada. The show will continue to air on Disney XD every Monday.

The members of the rebel group include Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus, the muscular alien Zeb Orrelios, pilot Hera Syndulla, the explosions loving Sabine Wren, street smart Ezra Bridger and an astromech droid called Chopper.

The villains in the show include the Sith Inquisitor and the Agent Kallus of the Imperial Security Bureau. The trailers show the Sith Inquisior wielding a red lightsaber but he is not a Sith lord. The primary task of the main villain is to hunt down the remaining Jedi in the galaxy. According to the producers the villain will not be losing to the heroes in every episode, the way it happens in many old cartoons. He is said to make his presence felt in his own unique style.

Will the appearance of Darth Vader get the fans excited to watch "Star Wars: Rebels" on ABC on Sunday? The show will also feature a small cameo of Obi-Wan Kenobi, who is another popular character featuring in the movies.
