'Star Wars Rebels' season 3 episode 13 preview video: Empire's dangerous new droid

Two preview scenes from “Star Wars Rebels” season 3 episode 13 have been released online, along with the synopsis. The videos show a dangerous new droid released by the Empire to hunt down the people who defy the Emperor’s writ in the galaxy.

The first preview video, which is a part of the “Rebels Recon” episode, shows a new droid landing in the Atollon wasteland in an escape pod. The droid wanders around and later locates some of the Rebels. It is then taken to their base.

The second preview video shows the Imperial droid has been programmed to activate its weapons systems only after infiltrating a Rebel base. The droid transforms into a powerful killing machine after confirming its targets.

Zeb (Voice by Steve Blum) and Chopper try to take down the Imperial droid, but are outmatched by the skills and technology of the Empire’s new weapon. Will the new Imperial droid compromise the security of the Rebel base in “Star Wars Rebels” season 3 episode 13?

After spending months studying the Rebels, this appears to be the first offensive action taken by Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen). The details about what the villain has been planning all this time may finally be revealed in the next few episodes.

Another interesting thing to note is Pablo Hidalgo’s confirmation that Darth Vader’s castle, which was seen in “Rogue One,” exits in the timeline of the TV series. The writer expressed his excitement about sharing with the fans what they have in store for them when it comes to the Sith Lord. He did not, however, reveal any details about when the castle will be seen on the show.

So, there is a lot to look forward to in “Star Wars Rebels” season 3. Episode 13 titled “Warhead,” however, may focus mainly on the new Imperial droid.
