'Star Wars Rebels' Season 3 episode 6 preview: Imperial Supercommandos and Mandalorian connection

A preview video of “Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 episode 6 has been released online. The video shows the Imperial Supercommandos have a Mandalorian connection and they are also familiar with Sabine Wren.

Ezra (Taylor Gray) and Sabine Wren (Tiya Sircar) will find themselves surrounded by a group of Imperial Supercommandos in the next episode. The leader of the group, who goes by the name of Saxon, knows Sabine and wants to negotiate rather than kill.

Mandalorians who defected to the Empire were given training, new armour and equipment and renamed Imperial Supercommandos. Their leader, Saxon, knows everything about Sabine and how she joined the Rebels. In the preview video he mentions knowing her mother and how she now stands with the Empire.

Sabine cautions Ezra not to believe Saxon, who she calls a traitor. She also believes that he didn’t give her mother a choice when it came to joining the Empire. When Saxon says that Mandalore has gotten stronger and that Sabine’s mother was looking for her, the young Rebel accuses the Imperial Supercommando of gaining power by supporting the Empire at Mandalore’s expense.

Saxon in turn accuses Sabine of cowardice for abandoning the Imperial Academy. However, he is not there for her. He is looking for someone, and gives the Rebels a choice. Sabine has to give up the man the Imperial Supercommandos are looking for and swear allegiance or be killed. An extended video of this scene has been posted on YouTube, showing what choice the Rebels make.

There will be more action in “Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 episode 6. Sabine refuses to surrender and decides to fight the Imperial Supercommandos with the help of Chopper. This time it is Mandalorian style of fighting, and that means jet packs, blasters and Ezra using his lightsaber.
