'Star Wars Rebels' Season 3 episode 8 preview: Lying Hondo at it again

Hondo will be back in “Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 episode 8. A scene from the next episode released online shows how the pirate gets caught lying again, in order to enlist the help of the Rebels.

Pirates and the Rebels will collaborate once again in the next episode titled “The Wynkahthu Job.” A video posted on the official YouTube page of the franchise, which can be seen below, shows how Hondo (Voice by Jim Cummings) lied in order to get the help he needed.

Apparently the pirates decided to use mines in order to disable the ship, but since the ship was out of control it drifted into a dangerous place. When his crew decided to board the ship anyway, he abandoned them and went to look for a new group to help salvage the freighter.

Hondo’s crew member is not happy about being left to die, but the pirate manages to win him over by offering 2 percent in the share of the booty instead of one. But, Zeb (Voice by Steve Blum) will not be swayed so easily.

The main plot of “Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 episode 8 revolves around a freighter full of weapons that the Rebels want to salvage for their fight against the Empire. Given the importance of the mission, Zeb reluctantly agrees to work with Hondo.

In the scene released online, Zeb is not happy about Hondo lying about the freighter. Ezra (Voice by Taylor Gray) attempts to diffuse the situation by pointing out that the pirate did not lie, he just didn’t say the whole truth. But, the Lasat is not convinced.

Zeb is so angry that he wants to tear the limbs off Hondo in “Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 episode 8. The pirate hopes this is just a joke, but Ezra doesn’t answer him.
