'Star Wars Rebels' season 4: Politics within Empire; Krennic teased
“Star Wars Rebels” season 4 is promising to be yet another exciting ride. The second trailer of the animation series reveals the main plot this time around to be the war in Mandalore. The show will also tease the politics among the officers of the Empire, and the continued journey of Ezra Bridger (voiced by Taylor Gray).
The war in Mandalore will be the main focus in at least the first few episodes of the next season. The trailer shows the challenges the heroes face on the planet, while Sabine (voiced by Tiya Sircar) rallies her forces.
Saw Gerrera (voiced by Forest Whitaker) will be back, and he’s just as angry as before. He doesn’t like the way the Rebels are fighting this war, which he feels is on the Empire’s terms.
For the Empire, Tarkin will be back. A scene of his interaction with Grand Admiral Thrawn (voiced by Lars Mikkelsen) reveals the unhealthy infighting within. The limited resources they have necessitate difficult choices. The Emperor will have to choose between The TIE Defender and the Death Star projects.
The mention of another “Rogue One” character should get fans excited. It isn’t clear if Krennic will make an appearance on the show, but given the importance of the Death Star to the storyline, and the fact that this has been mentioned before, it is possible that the villain from the spin-off will make an appearance.
Another interesting storyline this year will be that of Ezra. The character has been though a lot, training to be a Jedi and resisting the temptation of the Dark Side. The next season should reveal the end of this journey.
“Star Wars Rebels” season 4 is the final chapter of the animation series. The show will air on Oct. 16 on Disney XD.
