The world of showbiz continued to pay tribute to tragic loss of British singer Amy Winehouse who was found dead at her Camden house last Saturday. Friends, admirers and acquaintances all mourned the early loss of a talent who had been unique in the music industry for her individuality and musicality.

Kelly Osbourne, wrote that she had lost one of her closest friends.

"I heard the news about Amy Winehouse. I'm incredibly sad. I didn't know her but I met her a few times and got to hear her sing before she blew up. She was a beautiful and talented girl. I'm angry.

"What a waste of a gifted person. What a shame she saw no hope and continued living her life in that manor. I have been that low emotionally and mentally and that is overwhelming. I keep asking myself why some of us are spared and the others are made examples.

Russel Brand, a close friend of the singer who also battled with substance abuse said: "Whether this tragedy was preventable or not is now irrelevant. It is not preventable today. We have lost a beautiful and talented woman to this disease. Not all addicts have Amy's incredible talent."

Rihanna said in her Twitter "I am genuinely heartbroken about this #DearAmy", while Lady Gaga tweeted that: "Amy changed pop music forever. I remember knowing there was hope, and feeling not alone because of her. She lived jazz, she lived the blues."

Former producer Mark Ronson, who produced Winehouse's greatest hits "Rehab," "You Know I'm No Good" and "Love Is a Losing Game" said he was devastated by the loss." She was my musical soulmate and like a sister to me," he said. "This is one of the saddest days of my life."

Sir Elton John called Winehouse "one of the most seminal artists this country has ever produced."

Robbie Williams also remembered the singer: "Tragic, tragic waste. The addictive force is so, so, so, so strong. There but by the grace of God go I.

"She was clearly trapped here and had to go home."

The wife of Britain's Prime Minister, Sarah Brown also tweeted about the loss with: "Sad sad news of Amy Winehouse - great talent, extraordinary voice, and tragic death, condolences to her family."
