Australian Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice showed off her new tat via Twitter.

Stephanie had the phrase "London 2012" inked permanently under her arm. This is not the first tattoo of the swimmer; above the phrase were her previous tattoos of Olympic rings and "Beijing 2008." The swimmer is commemorating her participation in the recent Olympics.

The controversial athlete rocked the Twitter world last month after posting an Instagram photo of her in a risqué two-piece bikini wear. It was in line for the swimmer's 24th birthday and the bikini was designed by Ellie Gonsalves. It was the swimwear designer's birthday present for the Olympian.

That was not the first photo the athlete shared wearing a sexy swimwear. Stephanie also posted a photo wearing a red swimwear several weeks after she broke up with Quade Cooper.

There were fans of Stephanie Rice who were disappointed with the picture of their idol athlete, but for others, it is just another swimwear picture.

Early this week, Stephanie made the headlines as she was rumored to have an affair with basketball star Kobe Bryant. The Aussie swimmer denied the claims.

"FYI yes Kobe and I are friends, but no we are not together and never have been," Stephanie posted on her Twitter page.

"Can't guys and girls be just friends..? He's an amazing athlete and I've enjoyed getting to know him and many other great athletes in my Olympic journey," she added.

The 24-year old swimmer found herself in the middle of the rumors when she sat beside the 33-yeard old Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard.

Her detractors were quick to spark the rumors between her and Kobe whom she claimed she met last 2008 Beijing Olympics.
