Stephanie Smith is not another ordinary woman waiting to be engaged to the man of her dreams. She is NY Post Page Six section reporter who is in a mission to make 300 sandwiches before her boyfriend will give her the ring she long waits for.

She made her own confessional story about her project which started in June 2012, Business Insider reports. The great challenge all began when her gourmet boyfriend kept requesting her to make him a sandwich. For Ms Smith's boyfriend, the sandwiches are like hugs and kisses. Once when her boyfriend exclaimed, "Honey you're 200 sandwiches away from an engagement ring!," she seriously took it as a brave dare.

She instantly made a blog which she entitled as 300sandwiches.com. It was not just about the sandwiches she will make to earn that ring finally but also about her reflections with the relationship she shares with her boyfriend, Eric. As of Sept. 26, she was able to make 177 sandwiches and there are 123 more to make. Her latest is called "Baked at Halftime" Fried Green Tomato BLT.

As for Ms Smith's reason why she's working hard for that ring? It's because she thinks it's just about time, Jezebel analysed.

Her sandwiches come in wide varieties from the classic sandwiches perfect for breakfast to the most sophisticated kinds like the lobster roll sliders. She has also come up with ice cream sandwiches ideal for dessert.

It was interesting too how Ms Smith's boyfriend renders his own piece of advice to women in general which emphasizes how simple it is to understand men and how to make them happy. "We're not complex. Just do something nice for us. Like make a sandwich," he stated.
