Power tool brand Stihl released a new TV ad in celebration of its 35th year.

The TV creative starts with farmyard shots, establishing the scene of a typical Australian farm, followed by a farmer looking over his 'property' as the background music builds up. Finally, he picks up his Farm Boss and hops into his mower indicating the end of his day on the farm.

The farmer then pulls up outside a farm gate, stops the engine, and his backyard gets revealed, showing his home amidst the suburbia.

The TV ad was made by The Foundry. The agency said that one important aspect in the brief from Stihl was to promote the Farm Boss to a wider audience and show the Australians that it is not limited to farm-use.

"This new model is a continuation of the Farm Boss legacy, and is an essential item to anyone who has a serious job to do - whether it's in a rural or suburban setting," Stihl marketing manager Rob Ross said.
