Sting to bring Symphonicity world tour to Australia, New Zealand
Sting will be heading down to Australia as part of his Symphonicity early next year. The Australian leg of Sting's tour will begin with a concert at Sandalford Estate outside of Perth on 22 of January.
The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will accompany Sting and his bad for the first part of Symphoncity's Australian leg.
Sting said: "I am looking forward to performing in Australia and New Zealand, having a whole new palate of musical colors to work with and reinventing the songs that have been the staples of my live shows for over thirty years."
Sting's popular songs have been re-arranged to work with the symphony, but he will also be joined by his long-time guitarist Dominic Miller, percussionists Rhani Krija and David Cossin, vocalist Jo Lawry and bassist Ira Coleman.
The Australian leg of Sting's Symphronicity features arrangements created exclusively for this tour, in order to work better with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Some of these arrangement are The Police hits Roxanne, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Every Breath You Take, and Next To You.
Sting's solo hits like Englishman In New York, Russians, Fragile, If I Ever Lose My Faith In You, Desert Rose and Fields Of Gold are also featured in a unique arrangement for his Australian tour.
Sting concert tickets will be sold on October 21 for his Swan Valley performance, and on October 22, for the remaining New Zealand and Australian dates.
