‘Stranger Things’ actress Millie Bobby Brown wants to be Princess Leia
Millie Bobby Brown of “Stranger Things” expressed her enthusiasm to play Princess Leia. The shaven-headed female star who plays the role of Eleven in the hit Netflix series said she would love to play a role like such.
Brown explained why she wants to be young Princess Leia in a potential upcoming “Star Wars” reboot. During the Rhode Island Comic Con in November, the 12-year-old actress said she wanted to do something far from Eleven or Madison. Madison is the name of her character in BBC drama, “Intruders.”
Cinema Blend reported that Disney and Lucasfilm grabbed “Lego Movie” directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller for a Han Solo film. Alden Ehrenreich was chosen to play the role of young Han Solo. There is a small chance that the film will explore the life of Princess Leia as a young girl.
Brown, at least, was able to make it clear that she would be willing to play the role. Some fans may just find it hard to imagine a different actress playing the role that once belonged to no other than Carrie Fisher.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” was released in mid-December. However, the joy was swiftly wrecked by the passing of Fisher before 2016 ended. Several fans, including “Star Wars” video game players, paid tribute to the actress.
Fisher rose to fame in 1977 for her performance as Princess Leia in “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.” She also portrayed the same role in “The Empire Strikes Back” in 1980, “Return Of The Jedi” in 1983 and “The Force Awakens” in 2015.
The untitled Han Solo film is expected to hit US theatres on Dec 13, 2018, per Screen Rant. The film's release date in Australia is yet to be announced.
If things go well, moviegoers might see Brown as Princess Leia. In the meantime, fans can keep an eye on her on “Stranger Things,” which is set to return sometime this year.
