So what is that cute and little red mailbox doing there in an inconvenient place under the bridge?

A mysterious red mailbox has been capturing the minds of those living around the English town of Thames of how in the world it got under the Sonning-on-Thames bridge. Even the one person who may have the possible explanation for it could not offer any answer as to why it got there.

Famous psychic Uri Geller, who popularised the spoon bending act, has lived in the same place for a total of 33 years. He shared with BBC that it could be the work of a ghost, particularly a naughty little girl ghost. The Royal Mail was not also able to render any answer as to what it is and how it got there, according to the report of the Hufftington Post UK edition.

The mysterious box is placed just a metre above the waters under the bridge which helps you cross the River Thames. Others living around the area said that the maibox can only be reached by riding a boat.

Geller added that the small village is filled with mysteriously chilling stories like the alleged apparition of a child ghost walking on the bridge. On the other hand, the spokesperson of the Royal Mail, Val Bodden, insists that the mail box is not one of their operational posting facilities. In fact, they do not have any idea at all of how it was placed there.

In June, volunteers from around town have worked together to rescue swans after a mysterious and unexpected oil spill happened on the river. There were a total of 80 swans saved from the creepy oil spill that baffled even the local authorities where it came from.
