Gionni Lee Garlow, the baby who was born in Ottawa prison in 2012, was "suddenly" found dead at his Cornwell residence at around 5 am on Sunday. He reportedly had respiratory problems since he was born.

Ms Biolotta described her jail experience when her plea was disregarded by jail guards. She said that the paramedics arrived only after the baby had been half way out. She posted on her Facebook profile that life would never be the same after her child had died. She also said that she would be with her child soon. Behavioural scientists may apprehend a suicidal tendency by the post as a recent study shows that posts on social networking Web sites may track suicidal tendencies.

She repeated the same intention to be with her baby soon when her Facebook friends asked her what went wrong. She said: "I don't know what to do. I just know that I'm going to b with him soon". When one of her Facebook friends asked what exactly happened, she bluntly replied: "He's dead". Ironically, one of her Facebook friends 'liked' the comment that her baby was dead.

Gionni was born in one of the Ottawa prisons in the last week of September 2012 while his mummy, Julie Bilotta, was held at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre. She was pregnant for eight months when she was imprisoned. She tried convincing jail staff about her labour. Her rights to be admitted to hospital were denied. She gave birth to little Gionni on the cell floor.

The police have reportedly responded to the call only to find the child who appeared to be lifeless. When he was taken to hospital, he was pronounced dead. The coroner's office, along with the police, has started investigating the sudden death of the 13-month-old baby. The office will attempt to determine the reason of death and the manner of the same. An autopsy has been scheduled to be performed later this week.
