“Suicide Squad” is one of the most highly anticipated movies from DC Comics that brings together very powerful supervillains and anti-heroes. Even though the film is in nascent stage, there are some supposed major potential spoilers that hint at the movie’s plot and the roles of The Joker and Lex Luthor. [Warning: Potential Spoilers Alert!]

In its exclusive story published on Jan. 19, Latino Review spilled the supposed story details of David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad.” According to the media report, the information about the movie’s plot has been revealed by “two inside sources that corroborate each other.” The report notes that the movie primarily deals with three characters: Deadshot, Harley Quinn and The Joker.

The first source claims “Suicide Squad” begins with Harley Quinn and Deadshot crossing each other’s path at Arkham when the two are working on their individual missions. Quinn is after The Joker and Deadshot is trying to kill an inmate. The two are abducted by Amanda Waller’s people and put in prison. Meanwhile, The Joker is also taken into custody and will reportedly be spending most of his time in the prison. He will find freedom only toward the end of the movie when he finds the opportunity to escape the jail during a prison riot.

Furthermore, it is said Boomerang is already a member of Suicide Squad being spearheaded by Amanda Waller. Fans can expect to see major drama between Deadshot and Boomerang as Deadshot is revealed as the killer of Boomerang’s father.

The Suicide Squad has a dangerous mission to accomplish that involves taking down Lex Luthor. The team undertakes the mission of “preventing ‘bio weaponry’ from being sold to Lex Luthor by a human trafficking gang.” The gang aims at handing over the powerful The Enchantress to Lex Luthor. However, the team is successfully able to reach her and retrieve her from the gang’s clutches and keep her in the secret area “which has all sorts of genetic freaks imprisoned including a King Shark.”

Rich Flag, meanwhile, keeps an eye on Amanda Waller. However, there is an unexpected twist that involves Flag. “The twist is his character is revealed as being in league with the villain, Rick Flag Snr, at the end,” reads the report. Prior to the revelation of his actual identity, Rick Flag pretends to be a government agent.

The second source substantiates much of what the first source revealed. The source claims that the draft of the script is almost done and is being discussed by the executives. According to the source, the team seizes a woman called June, who is suffering from a split personality disorder. Her second personality is reportedly that of a sorceress. At the same time, the source claims the involvement of Batman in the movie. He will reportedly be mentioned during various events but will not make an appearance.

Meanwhile, fans know that Tom Hardy dropped out of the movie. The announcement was made last week. Latino Review speculates that the actor walked away from the role because he was not too happy with the “changes to his character.”

According to The Wrap, Jake Gyllenhaal is being considered to replace Tom Hardy as Rick Flag in “Suicide Squad.” However, the associated parties have not confirmed the news. Also, the studio is yet to reveal official plot details for the movie.

“Suicide Squad” stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller and Cara Delevingne as The Enchantress. The film is expected to be released on August 5, 2016. Stay tuned for more spoilers.
