Suits Season 3 Episode 4: 'Conflict of Interest' Sneak Peek 'Order of Business' [VIDEO]
Is there a moment of respite for Harvey Spencer (Gabriel Matcht) in Season 3 of Suits? He wants to take down Jessica (Gina Torres) and become the managing partner. He needs the backing of Darby (Conleth Hill) to achieve both the goals and Darby's condition, Ava Hessington (Michelle Fairley) must not lose.
The woman in question is just not another businesswoman. She is a habitual offender when it comes to bribing. 'Bribe' and get out of the hot soup is her only solution to every problem. If there is an opposition against her deals, bumping-off a few people in a far away land is not a big deal for her. But, take away her company Hessington Oil from her and she becomes just another businesswoman facing a murder trial, and who has lost her company in a hostile takeover.
For Ava too many fronts have opened-up at the same time and the onus is on Harvey to ensure that, she does not lose at any of the front. As the first episode of Suits Season 3 established, he has his own personal ambition at stake. If Ava loses, he loses too and will have to remain the second fiddle in Pearson-Darby for a long, foreseeable future.
The sneak peek suggests there is a vote of control to take over Ava's company in less than 48 hours. Harvey is handling the murder trial against her while Louis (Rick Hoffman), the hostile takeover case. Harvey had handed the hostile take-over case in the third episode of Suits 3, 'Unfinished Business', to Louis and now there is a conflict of interest.
Louis wants Ava to make a statement, which has the potential to harm the murder trial. Harvey is not in favour of that, "She is not making a statement" because if she makes one, Cameron Dennis (Gary Cole) is "going to be all over it."
Katrina Benedict (Amanda Schull) is now Louis's associate and a part of Team Litt. She does not see Cameron as a problem but the problem is credibility of Ava as a CEO. The public sentiments are against her and she is not seen as a creditable CEO and not talking would make her look like a "guilty one" and "incompetent."
According to Mike (Patrick J. Adams), if she talks under threat, she will come across as "desperate." The episode is going to revolve around a perfect Catch 22 situation.
There is not going to be a moment of calm for Harvey.
