The summer-finale of "Suits" Season 3 was a surprise. It was more about relationships and less about finding the legal catch and settling a case. Ava Hessington (Michelle Fairley) had sued Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and his firm. Ava just wanted to hear a real, heartfelt sorry from Harvey to soothe her ruffled nerves and take back the case.

Once Harvey delivered his little emotional speech, Ava melted and the case was withdrawn. And Travis Tanner (Eric Close) yet again lost to Harvey. Harvey said to Ava: "You wanted to know if I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I didn't listen to you. I'm sorry that I didn't believe you. I'm sorry that my History with Cameron put a target on your back. But, I'm not sorry that I did everything in my power to help you, every chance I got."

The episode "Stay" of "Suits" Season 3 showed the leap of Harvey when it came to his relationship with Scottie (Abigail Spencer). In the episode, Rachel (Meghan Markle) decided to go to Columbia despite Stanford being a much better option, because she loves Mike. And, Louis (Rick Hoffman) and Sheila (Rachel Harris) became exclusive to each other, which was one of the most unexpected scenes of the episode.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "Suits" show-runner, Aaron Krosh, said: "Harvey is serious when he says that (Harvey's declaration to Scottie that he wants her in his life). Scottie believes him. We're going to see what happens in that relationship."

"...my philosophy is not to give season enders that we then pretend didn't happen in the first episode [back]. We're going to tackle that situation moving forward. They're going to move forward. We pick up where we left off."

Accoring to Krosh, "the next decision for them (Mike and Rachel) is, OK, now that all of ... stuff is out of the way, they still have to decide if they'll move in together and move forward. They're staying together but they haven't yet answered whether they'll move in together. That'll be the next question for them."

When "Suits" returns sometime in early 2014 for the second installment of season 3, Louis will be trying to figure out Mike's status and go fishing for Mike's missing file from Sheila's Harvard Cabinets. "Sheila is a character like Louis. She takes a huge amount of pride in her work. On the one hand, there's no way in his mind Sheila would lose a file but he also can't ask or tell her about what he did because he's afraid Sheila will break up with him. It's a big violation of her trust. He's going to have to figure out what it means and pursue some fishing in the next episode," Krosh said to The Hollywood Reporter.
