Super Bowl Twitterverse: 'Congrats, Beyonce' and Destiny's Child reunion cheers [PHOTOS]
Many Twitter users are raving about the Destiny's Child Super Bowl reunion, with several calling it "best halftime show." Fans obviously got nostalgic over the unexpected show. Jumping in the trending topic is comedy actor Steve Martin, who got thousands of re-tweets and 'favorites' for his "Congrats, Beyonce" tweet.
When Destiny's Child showed up at the Super Bowl, fans were overwhelmed with thrill and nostalgia. They knew Beyonce would perform, but they were not expecting a halftime reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. (Those looking for GIF of the reunion may follow this link.)
Many of the audience and those watching the television anticipated Beyonce's Super Bowl performance following the lip synching incident on the recent presidential inauguration. At a Super Bowl media conference, Beyonce sait this about her lip sync decision:
"I am a perfectionist," Beyonce said. "I practice until my feet bleed and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. Due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk."
She added, "It was about the president and the inauguration, and I wanted to make him and my country proud, so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I'm very proud of my performance."
Congrats, Beyonce - Steve Martin
