Super Junior’s ‘This Is Love’ Is Most Viewed K-Pop Video; Super Junior To Beat EXO In 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards
SM Entertainment’s Super Junior's “This Is Love” ranked number one as the most viewed K-Pop music video around the world for October putting Epik High’s “Born Hater” in the second spot.
In the United States alone, “This Is Love” ranked as the third most viewed K-Pop video while Super Junior’s other song “Evanesce” ranked number nine.
In August, Super Junior also had the most viewed K-pop video around the world with “Mamacita,” which earned the K-pop band a World Albums chart record in September.
“This Is Love,” “Mamacita” and “Evanesce” are from Super Junior’s seventh Korean studio album titled “Mamacita,” which was released on Aug. 29. Other songs include “Midnight Blues,” “Raining Spell For Love,” “Shirt,” “Let’s Dance,” “Too Many Beautiful Girls,” “Mid-season” and “Islands.”
Meanwhile, Super Junior is also currently number one in the Best Male Group category of the 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards, which will be held in Hong Kong on Dec. 3.
With 35.2% of votes, Super Junior has regained its lead over EXO, which has topped the category at some point, but is not in second place with 30.5% of the votes.
Super Junior and EXO are also competing against each other for the Artist of the Year award with the earlier having only 5,000 votes more than that of the latter.
