Another celebrity divorce is on its way as “Supergirl” star Melissa Benoist is reportedly putting an end to her marriage with former “Glee” co-star and husband Blake Jenner.

The 28-year-old actress reportedly filed for divorce on Dec.25 citing “irreconcilable differences.” Furthermore, she wants to drop Jenner from her name and therefore, she is seeking to change her legal name back to Melissa Benoist, reports TMZ. She has also requested the court to block spousal support for both parties.

Benoist and Jenner met in 2012 as co-stars on Fox's musical comedy show “Glee,” where they essayed the role of Marley and Ryder respectively. They dated for one year before getting engaged in 2013 and thereafter tying the knot in March 2015. The couple doesn’t have any children together.

Currently, Benoist plays the lead role in DC superhero drama “Supergirl.” Jenner appeared in the CW’s show for two episodes as a celebrity guest.

A few days after the incident reportedly took place, Jenner posted a video of him playing with his nephew on Twitter. He has not hinted of his divorce on social media as of now.

In March earlier this year, Benoist called Jenner his favourite screen partner. “We only have fun working together. He's my person to act with. He's my favorite scene partner, always,” she told People.

“He's my person to act with. He's my favorite scene partner, always. I love talking about it. Blake is amazing! The chemistry you see with Marley and Ryder is not acting,” she told Teen Vogue magazine earlier.

The couple seemed happy until September when Benoist was all smiles while travelling along with Jenner to the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival to support his then-upcoming venture “The Edge of Seventeen.”

Melissa Benoist and Blake Jenner have tried to keep their personal lives away from the prying lens of the paparazzi so far. However, they often post pictures together on social media.
