‘Supernatural’ adds ‘The Vampire Diaries’ actress Elizabeth Blackmore for recurring role
“Supernatural” will welcome an Australian actress this 11th season and the next. “The Vampire Diaries” actress Elizabeth Blackmore will be appearing in the show as Lady Toni Bevell, according to a report.
There are only five episodes left for season 11, but that doesn’t stop “Supernatural” from adding a new character. According to eonline.com, Blackmore is locked in for a recurring role. She will first appear in an episode later this season, then will come back for an unspecified number of episodes in season 12.
‘Supernatural’ stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles on how the show will end
Her character, Lady Toni Bevell, will “actually have a lot in common” with the Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). Those similarities are still unknown. Many of the recurring characters in the past also have similarities with Sam and Dean, including beloved female characters who met their untimely death. It’s likely Lady Toni is also a hunter or perhaps she is also a Men of Letters descendant.
Meanwhile, Blackmore is still on “The Vampire Diaries” as Valerie Tulle. That means that she will be busy with two The CW shows for the next months.
“Supernatural” season 11 has so far seen the brothers working together again, unlike the recent previous seasons where they were fighting for different causes. This time, Sam and Dean are trying to stop Amara/The Darkness (guest star Emily Swallows) from basically just creating havoc. Lucifer is also now residing inside Castiel’s (Misha Collins) vessel, and Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) has been relegated from the king of hell to Lucifer’s slave, and is now working with the Winchesters to put Lucifer back in the cage.
The 19th episode, titled “The Chitters,” will be another long wait. It will air in the US on April 27. Episode synopsis on TV Guide states that the Winchesters will head to a small town in Colorado to investigate mysterious disappearances that happen every 27 years. They will then meet two hunters who have a personal vendetta against these unknown monsters.
“Supernatural” airs Mondays in Australia on Eleven.
