‘Supernatural’ season 12 spoilers: Dean deals with memory problems
“Supernatural” season 12 is all set to return this month to see more of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester’s (Jensen Ackles) adventures. Dean, however, will also have to deal with some memory problems and his family members have to deal with it.
TV Line has shared that when “Supernatural” returns, Dean will be struggling with his memory. This particular life event that he will go through will reportedly affect his relationship with the people around him.
Executive producer Andrew Dabb has explained that Dean is not physically de-ageing. Instead, one of the Winchester brothers is trapped in a Memento-type loop, in which he loses his memory a little bit.
“For him, as someone who struggles with all the baggage from years and years of doing a very, very difficult job, it almost becomes freeing, in a way,” Dabb said. This means viewers will get to see Dean becoming more fun and childlike in “Supernatural” season 12.
It will be interesting to see if he could ever forget about his brother, Sam. Also, fans can look forward to how his friends and family members will deal with Dean’s mental issue.
During the midseason finale, fans can recall that Dean and Sam found themselves in jail for having been accused of attempting to murder the president of the United States. Per TV Line, the second half of “Supernatural” season 12 will see the brothers’ struggles in getting out of jail.
The outlet has also shared that the scene will be fast-forwarded to six weeks following their arrest. Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith) and Angel Castiel (Misha Collins) have no idea about how they can free Sam and Dean.
“Supernatural” season 12 episode 9 is titled “First Blood.” The show is set to return to the US on the CW on Jan. 26. It is yet to be announced if it will air on Fox8 for Australian fans on the same day.
