Vampires and Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) took the spotlight in "Supernatural" Season 9, Episode 19 titled "Alex Annie Alexis Ann." The episode simply gave emphasis on the importance of family and the effects of the "Mark of Cain" on Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles).

Spoiler alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "Supernatural" Season 9, Episode 19 titled "Alex Annie Alexis Ann." Sheriff Jody Mills saved a young runaway girl from a vampire attack and immediately called hunters Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester for help.

The investigation revealed that the young girl, Alex, has been living with a vampire family. Sam noticed the bite marks on the young girl's neck while Dean concluded that Alex served as a blood bank to her vampire family making her loyal to them.

The Winchester brothers decided to find the vampire's nest leaving Alex under Sheriff Jody Mills' care. The young girl initially acted cold and distant towards Sheriff Mills but eventually warmed up and started to bond with her over the loss of their loved ones.

Sam and Dean succeeded in tracking down the family of vampires that took Alex and found out that young girl has been luring victims for the supernatural creatures to feed on. The Winchesters informed Sheriff Mills about Alex but the vampire family already tracked them down and took back the young girl after knocking the sheriff unconscious.

Sam and Dean arrive at the cabin to find Sheriff Mills just waking up and the trio discussed their next plan. The hunters explained that they will be "cleaning up" the nest including Alex but the sheriff did not agree and insisted she will come along in order to rescue the young girl.

Alex and her vampire "momma" had a talk about her running away from home. Alex explained that she can no longer handle the guilt and all of the blood and death so the vampire mommy decided to just turn Alex into a vampire so she will no longer deal with the human emotions.

Sheriff Mills found Alex in the process of turning into a vampire and figured out that the vampire mother sees Alex as a child that fills the hole in her heart the same way that the sheriff feels towards the young girl. Even though Alex is already halfway in becoming a vampire, she had a hard time killing the sheriff because she still does not want the way how vampires live their life so she stabs her "momma" with the syringe filled with a dead man's blood before Sheriff Mills decapitated her.

Meanwhile, Sam and Dean are dealing with the rest of the members of the vampire family. Sam was held captive for a moment where the vampires almost drained his blood but Dean had the upper hand and fought the creatures with the "Mark of Cain" taking into effect.

Sam noticed that there is something different with the way his brother kills the vampires especially the last one where Dean asked the creature to look at him before he decapitated him. Sam sounded worried when he told Dean that he appears to be enjoying killing but Dean explained that killing is a part of their job as hunters and enjoying it is not that wrong.

Then, Sam and Dean left Alex with Sheriff Mills while she goes through the process of getting cured from turning into a vampire since she never really fed on human blood to complete the transition. "Supernatural" Season 9 will continue with the next episode as the backdoor pilot to the CW spinoff series "Supernatural: Bloodlines."

The Winchesters will be heading to Chicago in "Supernatural" Season 9, Episode 20 titled "Bloodlines" scheduled to air on Tuesday night, April 29, at 9 pm ET on the CW Network.
