Actor Misha Collins, the favorite "Supernatural" angel named Castiel, revealed in the recently released Season 8 DVD via Entertainment Tonight about the regret of allowing himself to do something challenging with his character: the deep voice. The sneak peek footage for the upcoming "Supernatural" Season 9 has been released as well to give viewers an idea of the exciting things to happen with the angel-turned-human Castiel and the Winchester brothers.

It appears the 39-year-old actor is having troubles for years with Castiel's deep voice signature. "I thought I should give him a really commanding, powerful voice - something I now regret because I've been doing it for six years and there are definitely times when I have to go home and drink hot lemon water and have a sore throat," Misha Collins shared.

Executive producers Jeremy Carver and Robert Singer divulged some details on what "Supernatural" Season 9 will offer in the released five-minute sneak peek footage. "All the normal constructs have been decimated. There's no king of Hell because Crowley is their captive. There are no angels in Heaven; the angels are on Earth. So the normal rules of the game aren't really applying," Jeremy Carver revealed about the upcoming new season.

Mr Carver continued to give details on what will happen to the "Supernatural" characters in Season 9. As for angel Castiel turning into a human being, he must deal about it on his own since the Winchester brothers will not be around.

"He's not going to be with the Winchesters, so he's not going to have his safety blanket as it were to lead him through this," Jeremy Carver shared. Robert Singer, the "Supernatural" director, writer and executive producer further added that Castiel's arc will focus on what it is like to live a human life.

"Having to eat, having to sleep, where will he sleep," Singer stated. The sneak peek footage even shows Castiel learning how to do his laundry. "He's got to deal with that while dealing with the very, very real fallout from the angels falling to Earth, which one could blame him for. Which many angels do blame him for. So we're going to find Castiel in a role where he's both human and also hunted," Mr Carver explained.

What about Sam and Dean, the famous Winchester boys? Jeremy Carver revealed that consequences will be the number one theme in "Supernatural" Season 9. The executive producer revealed: "Dean is going to have to make some very, very, very crucial decisions very early on in the season that are essentially going to drive the mythology for the rest of the year."

Mr Singer weighed in as well about the crucial decisions that Dean will have to make. "That's a burden that he carries more than, you know, Sam taking the lead or what their roles are. It's a whole new direction. It's a whole new brand of guilt for Dean," Robert Singer declared.

Additionally, the sneak peek video shows the characters that will return in "Supernatural" Season 9 like Charlie, Abaddon and Bobby. "Anybody can always come back. Where there's a will, there's a Supernatural way, I guess," Jeremy Carver teased.

"Supernatural" Season 9 is set to return on October 8 at 9 p.m. Eastern time on the CW TV network.
