It looks like Cupid will be aiming for the heart of angel-turned-human Castiel in "Supernatural" Season 9. The TV Line report has divulged that "The O.C." and "Prison Break" actress Shannon Lucio will appear in the upcoming CW TV drama series as a love interest for actor Misha Collins who portrays the character Castiel.

The report further revealed to the waiting "Supernatural" fans that Ms Lucio will make her first appearance as character April Kelly in Season 9's Episode 3 titled "I'm No Angel" which is scheduled to air on Oct. 22. The 33-year-old actress will be able to spark up the romantic interest of Castiel after his "grace" was taken away and transformed into a human being at the Season 8 finale.

At the Comic-Con event, actor Misha Collins has teased the fans that his character would be submerged in the "whole gamut of the human experience" in the TV series' brand new season which includes "eating, defecating and fornicating." Mr Collins even coyly revealed at the August 2013 VanCon that "sex does between Castiel and a person."

"Supernatural" fans have witnessed a couple of times how Castiel tried to woo a woman in the past like using the few things he "learned from the pizza man" when he kissed demon Meg before the King of Hell Crowley stabbed her to death.

The casting addition of actress Shannon Lucio further builds up the hype on the upcoming new season. Other faces that viewers can expect to see in "Supernatural" Season 9 include Jim Beaver who returns as Bobby Singer, "Whodunnit?" host Gildart Jackson, Felicia Day as the red-haired geek hunter character Charlie Bradbury and Alaina Huffman as Abaddon with a really evil plan.

The CW has officially released as well the "Supernatural" Season 9 poster assuring viewers that an intense new season is approaching with the interesting tagline "Prepare for the Fall." The poster features actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as the Winchester brothers, with co-stars Mark Sheppard and Misha Collins as demon Crowley and angel-turned-human Castiel in the background.

Fans can find out how Castiel deals with new love interest April Kelly when "Supernatural" Season 5 premieres on Tuesday night, October 8, at 9 p.m. on the CW network.
