Apostol, 34, from Lindon, Utah, fought his way to the top with his alliance including Gervase Peterson, 43, who was part of the first "Survivor" in Borneo and Monica Culpepper, 42, who was part of "Survivor: One World." Apostol, Peterson and Culpepper ended up being the final three contestants of Survivor Blood vs. Water."

The votes were cast by the jury composed of jurors Tina Wesson, Ciera Eastin, Laura Morett, Hayden Moss, Katie Collins, Caleb Bankston, Vytas Baskauskas and Aras Baskauskas. Tyson won with 7 out of 8 votes from the jury. Monica only got one vote from Vytas and unfortunately, Gervase didn't get any vote at all.

Vytas told Tyson on Day 39, which was the final Tribal Council and that he was not going to get his vote, and he kept his promise by voting for Monica, although he said that wasn't sure of whom to vote for at first. However, that did that didn't make any difference because Tyson still ended up winning in the end. He also commented on Gervase's "old school" gameplay, which he believed hurt Gervase because it means he wasn't adapting to the "Survivor" game.

On the other hand, Vytas' brother Aras, who won in "Survivor: Panama," asked Monica, Tyson and Gervase about whom they felt he or she should vote for if not themselves. Gervase and Monica picked Tyson, and Tyson picked Monica.

When Tyson's name was announced as the Sole Survivor and winner of the $1 million dollars prize money, his girlfriend Rachel Foulger, 33, from Orem, Utah, who also joined "Survivor Blood vs. Water," ran up to him on stage and hugged him tightly. Tyson credited Foulger as his inspiration for staying focused during the game and for winning it. Unfortunately, Foulger was the fourth person to get voted out, although she managed to stay another day in the Redemption Island. Tyson and Foulger were given the option to switch places, but when Tyson asked Foulger, she said that Tyson should stay and that she should be the one to go.

The "Survivor Blood vs. Water" Finale and Reunion had a lot of highlights and funny moments including 23-year-old Kat Edorsson's revelation about improving herself physically and 22-year-old Colton Cumbie's explanation on quitting "Survivor" for the second time. Both Edorsson and Cumbie were part of "Survivor: One World" before joining "Survivor Blood vs. Water" again.

"Survivor: Caramoan" winner John Cochran also made an appearance to talk about his life after winning "Survivor." Check out the video below:
