Susan Boyle's record label denies the reports that the Scottish talent show sensation will be touring Australia and New Zealand later this year.

Sony has denied that Boyle is going to tour the Land Down Under and said the reports that came out early Wednesday are "completely false".

The 49-year-old singer became popular when she appeared on Britain's Got Talent. She was scheduled to perform at last month's Logies but cancelled because of exhaustion.

On Wednesday, the London Music Group sent emails around the country containing Boyle's supposed tour schedule: Perth, August 10, 12 and 15; Sydney, August 17, 21 and 25; Melbourne, August 27, 28 and 29; and Brisbane, September 1, 3 and 5.

The emails also said that she has two shows in New Zealand, set on August 2 and 5.

A spokesman from London Music Group said that information on how to get tickets for all her performances will be released soon.

The multi-platinum artist is hoping that her tour will "set right" the bad feelings caused by her cancellation on the Logies, the publicist said.

"It was unfortunate but this time round it's a dead cert," said London Music Group's Chris Thompson.

"She wants to set right what happened last month ... she's actually coming this time."

On the other hand, Sony said the reports were incorrect and it planned to issue a statement later on Wednesday.

Mr Thompson earlier said that Boyle also wanted to enjoy a holiday in Australia given the length of time that she would be staying in the country.

"She's going to have some time off - she'll be having some recreational time in between concerts," he said.
