'Swifties' Send Death Threats and Hate Tweets Against a Shirt Slamming Taylor Swift
Miley Cyrus once called out Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift's fans for sending out death threats and hateful tweets. While "Selenators" have lied low on the Twitter heat, "Swifties" continue to act immature and spiteful. The latest scandal involving "Swifties" involves that of a t-shirt that allegedly slammed Swift's "serial dating" issues.
An Indie t-shirt company called the Bad Kids Clothing has been subject to countless death threats by Taylor Swift's fans. What is the cause? Well, blame an innocent t-shirt with a few famous names on it. While Swift's name was nowhere mentioned on the shirt or the word "slut", "Swifties" claimed it was a direct diss at the country crooner.
First off, the shirt's design mentioned iconic Hollywood celebrities such as Lautner, Kennedy and Styles. Anyone who has been keeping tabs on Swift's love life would notice that the shirt mentions all the men involved with Swift in the past. The shirt may seem harmless for some but "Swifties" had gone loco at the sight of it.
"They keep telling me to take it off the site, but it wasn't on the site, so I guess they wanted me to take down the picture [from Instagram]. So I took down the picture-I don't really care, and then they kept going," reports the owner of Bad Kids Clothing to Fashionista, adding, "It got worse and worse. Finally I just responded to one and I was like, 'It's gone, what do you want?' And they were like, 'Oh, you think just because it's gone that this is over? Just wait until you see what happens to you.'"
The shirt has officially been taken down the store's web site but the death threats continue. This in itself is a big sign that Taylor Swift should start addressing to her fans.
"They threatened to burn down the store, to kill the employees with knives and guns, called the women 'uneducated faggots,' and told them 'that everything [they] stood for was worse than Hitler and the assassination of millions of Jews," continued the store owner.
Comments about the shirt continue to flood the Bad Kids Clothing web site. As for "true Swifties", the shirt is nothing more than just a bad joke and should be nothing more than that.
"Clearly her slut reputation gets to her. Honestly, if I were her i'd be like "yes, i dated all of them. end of story." She needs to just suck it up and own it because there are some pretty impressive names on that list," states one user.
