Since its inception in 1954, Sports Illustrated has published magazines monthly featuring the biggest names in the sports industry and the sexiest models in the fashion industry for the swimsuit issues.

On Jan. 14, Sports Illustrated celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Swimsuit issue. An event called "50 Years of Beautiful Women" was held at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Who would you expect to come at the Sports Illustrated golden anniversary event than the beautiful ladies who have graced the cover of its past swimsuit issues. You wouldn't expect any less from a Sports Illustrated event, right?

The Hollywood Life reported some of the gorgeous women who came to the party that included Kate Upton, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, and Chrissy Teigen, among many others.

Rebecca Romjin, Rachel Hunter, Kate Bock, Dominique Piek, Natasha Barnard, Petra Nemcova, Hillary Scott, Ariel Meredith, Genevieve Morton, and Tori Praver were also present at the event. Literally, almost all models who appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue were there, including the first-ever cover model Babette March. The Daily Mail has the pictures here.

The "50 Years of Beautiful Women" event was only an appetizer. In line with its 50th anniversary, Sports Illustrated will be releasing a book which showcases the fabulous models who have appeared on the journal in the past 50 years. It features 500 pictures of all the cover models, including every model who has appeared in other pages as well. Truly, the upcoming book which will be released in February will be a collector's item.
