T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat via OTA; 17 Features Expected to be Included
Network carrier T-Mobile plans to release the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 soon. A firmware Over-the-Air update is expected to happen any time after Samsung unveiled the Android KitKat kernel source of T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3.
T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 Kernel
Samsung recently released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat kernel source of Galaxy Note 3 for T-Mobile that indicates sooner update schedule. The baseband of the new Android KitKat firmware build is N900TUVUCNB4 and can only be installed on a device with the latest firmware build running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
In addition, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware holds a size of 863 MB that hints several enhancements and improvements on the Galaxy Note 3. According to TMO, Galaxy Note 3 users are able to download the latest update using the device itself via OTA process.
Once you have connected your Galaxy Note 3 to Wi-Fi, a notification prompt should appear telling you about the new firmware. If not, go to Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for updates to determine if Android 4.4.2 KitKat is available in your area.
In case your device does not receive any notifications from manual or automatic software updater app it only means that T-Mobile hasn't sent out the firmware to your area. Updates are gradually release and dependent on the network carrier.

Samsung and T-Mobile did not announce the change logs yet of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware for Galaxy Note 3. However, you can assume several improvements on the device similar to what T-Mobile LG G2 received from Android 4.4.2 such as 17 per cent faster processing speed, more responsive system and user interface changes.
