Apple's iPad 4 and the Google Nexus 10 have been leading the pack for tablets in the market. Despite the strong competition, these two managed to carve a niche on their one. But which tablet better suits a consumer? Looking at the pros and cons of both should help decide which tablet is apt for whom.

Size and Display

Google's Nexus 10 is thinner compared to the iPad 4. It is also taller and wider plus lighter. Nonetheless, the iPad 4 still triumphs over Nexus 10 in terms of durability. It has a sturdy built even with the "fragile" dimensions.

Nexus 10 has a 10.55 inches display while the iPad offers 9.7 inches. Nexus' resolution is better because it can process 4 million pixels. The iPad can only handle 3.1 million pixels. Google included a PLS TFT HD tech on the device's display offering users with deeper colors and sharper images.

Connectivity

Connectivity for Nexus 10 is only limited to WiFI while the iPad has various options like 3G, 4G LTE and WiFi. Google is offering NFC for the Nexus and this is not available on Apple's tablet. The LTE will also be coming soon. This should set the competition even stiffer for the two players.

Camera, Memory and Hardware

Both the iPad 4 and the Google Nexus 10 feature 5-megapixel cameras. They are also both capable of capturing HD videos. Nexus 10 has a 1.9-megapixel front camera while iPad's front camera shoots at 1.2

Nexus 10 is available in 16GB or 32GB. Apple, on the other hand, is offering iPad in three versions:

16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Nexus is slightly superior over the iPad 4 in terms of hardware. This is all because of the 1.7GHz quad core processor and T-604 GPU offering 2GB of RAM. The iPad runs on A6X processor with 1GB of RAM. Nexus operates with Android 4.2 Jellybean and the iPad with their iOS 6 - users have the option to update. For users, it is a matter of which system offers better functionality.
